Preparing for the Big Day

You’ve taken great care in selecting your sweet treat.  Before you bring home your delicious, scrumptious pie make sure you’ve through about whether or not you plan to serve this sweetie pie with hot coffee or espresso… whipped cream or maybe even some French vanilla ice cream… Yum!  

If by chance you are savoring each bite and need to save the rest of the pie, cover with wax paper then wrap with foil or clear wrap and place right into the freezer.  Or….take it a step further by wrapping pieces individually.  That way you can take one slice out at a time.

When you are ready to serve your frozen pie, take it out of the freezer 2 hours before serving and serve at room temperature.  Another great tip:  elevate the pie and place in front of a fan to defrost.  It will keep the bottom less moist and give it that freshly baked texture.
